The following are community services I participate in:

Kantaya - is an association that focuses on giving a good education with quality, creativity, and values, to children in need. Every month or so, we visit Kantaya, and each visit has different activities. For example, one time we took the ingredients to make cookies, I remember the kids wanting to make so many cookies that at the end we didn't have any left. Also, food is taken so we can have a nice break with the children while talking and getting to know each other.

Wish Factory - is a club that helps children in hospitals make their wishes come true. Every month, a group of students goes to the hospital to spend some time with the children. We go and take drawings for them to paint, instruments for them to hear some nice melodies and have fun. For example, last Thanksgiving Wish Factory took different colored cardboards and colored pencils for the children to make a turkey and write something they are thankful for.

Furthermore, in comparison to the other clubs, in Wish Factory I form part of the cabinet with the place of the secretary.

Fugaz - is a community service that every Saturday goes to el Callao, an underprivileged area in Lima, so that volunteers can play with children. Each Saturday we go to el Callao and take games, and snacks for the children to enjoy their breakfast while spending time with each other.

 

Hogar de Gina - Hogar de Gina is a shelter for girls of all ages. Whenever I go, we play and sometimes I get to bake some food for us to eat and enjoy together just for fun. Words can't describe the love there is in this place, as the girls along Judith and Rocio, the managers of the place, create such a welcoming environment to the point in which you feel part of their family.
